Beaufort appointed to carry out Wales Visits to Tourist Attractions research

We’re delighted to announce Beaufort has been awarded the two year contract for the Survey of Visitor Attractions in Wales. Visit Wales has conducted an annual survey of Visits to Tourist Attractions in Wales continuously since 1973. The survey provides information on the demand for, and performance of, tourist attractions in Wales. The results are widely used by the tourism trade, trade bodies, local authorities and educational establishments.

All tourist attractions in Wales are contacted each year to capture numbers of visitors and information on the pattern of visits.  By analysing the data collected, Visit Wales is able to identify trends overall and by region, attraction sector, etc.

The methodology for the new contract has been adapted and, instead of self-completion questionnaires, data collection going forward will be by telephone. This will help to increase industry engagement, boost response and provide a quicker turnaround for results.

Fiona McAllister, Managing Director at Beaufort, commented “We’re delighted to have won the contract for this important Wales-wide survey.  We’ll be focusing on delivering high quality data to Visit Wales that will really add value to their marketing and service development”.
