Beaufort employee shortlisted for SRA Cymru Awards

We’re excited to say that SRA Cymru has announced that Catrin Davies, Research Executive at Beaufort Research, has been shortlisted for the ‘Early Careers’ award at the Wales Social Research Awards 2017.

imageFiona McAllister, Manging Director at Beaufort, who made the nomination, had been impressed by Catrin’s enthusiasm to develop her qualitative and quantitative skills and all-round research knowledge since joining the company.  Catrin has also displayed an exemplary attitude to her working life – a team player but also willing and able to take on responsibility. She has made a significant contribution to Beaufort’s resource and ensuring clients receive an excellent service. Catrin has also shown great aptitude in researching sensitive social issues including childhood obesity and the lived experiences of street sex workers.

Catrin joined Beaufort Research in spring 2014, having worked in education after graduating from Cardiff University in 2012. Since joining Beaufort she has undertaken a wide range of external (MRS) and internal training, including passing the MRS Certificate in Market and Social Research with Distinction.

“Catrin has fitted seamlessly into the role of researcher at Beaufort Research, constantly improving on her qualitative and quantitative skills and understanding. Her attention to detail, interest in the range of social research projects we deliver, willingness to learn and explore new methods, and care for the work she produces all combine to mark her out as a rising star in research.” Fiona McAllister, Managing Director, Beaufort Research
