Glorious summer sunshine provides boost to Welsh tourism

Visit Wales recently published results of a survey conducted by Beaufort amongst tourist attractions and accommodation providers in Wales. The main aim of the research was to compare how tourism businesses had performed over the summer 2014 compared to last year.

The results were very positive: nearly half of all businesses (45%) had received more guests / visitors this August compared to last August, and a third (37%) reported a similar level of business. Only 16% of businesses reported that they had received fewer visitors: this means that some 82% of tourism businesses in Wales received increased or similar levels of guests compared with August 2013.
