National Eisteddfod of Wales, Denbigh and District 2013
Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru Performance Space
Friday 9 August, 11.00am – 1.00pm

Digital media and the Internet have opened up new possibilities for the Welsh language. This event presents the findings of two recent research projects on the use of the Welsh language and invites the public to have their say:
• Welsh language pre-school children’s programmes and their effect on the linguistic development of children from non-Welsh speaking families.
• Beaufort Research’s report for BBC Cymru Wales, S4C and the Welsh Government on the use of Welsh language services, including media and online services.

Entry to the event is included in the price of an Eisteddfod ticket. Visit the Eisteddfod website for entry charges, the location of the building, and directions: http://www.eisteddfod.org.uk/

The first full year of results from the prestigious National Survey for Wales (conducted by Beaufort in partnership with TNS-BMRB) has been published.

The National Survey collects robust, detailed information on the views and experiences of people across Wales, on a wide range of topics including wellbeing and satisfaction with public services, (including health and education). The survey, which began in January 2012, involves face to face interviews with around 14,500 people a year.

For the first time, some of the results are available at Local Authority and Local Health Board level.
