Latest Wales Visitor Survey findings show Wales is attracting more younger UK staying visitors

Results from the 2016 Wales Visitor Survey, carried out by Beaufort, have now been released by Visit Wales – see full reports here.

They show an increase in the number of younger UK staying visitors coming to Wales and more staying visitors taking part in adventure sports and activities such as mountain biking during their visit than ever before, as well as an increase in the numbers eating out while in Wales.

The survey covers day and staying visitors from the UK and overseas and provides a detailed profile of leisure visitors to Wales, as well as feedback on visitor satisfaction, to improve Visit Wales’ understanding of the motivations, needs and behaviours of visitors to Wales. In 2016 more than 6,600 visitors to Wales were interviewed for the survey.
