Beaufort Research is one of the leading marketing and social research companies in Wales and our insight provides intelligence to help clients make informed decisions.
We have been helping clients with quantitative and qualitative research to inform their decisions since 1984. We carry out a wide range of interesting and varied projects for government bodies, public organisations and large businesses. These can involve finding out people’s views on different topics to help our clients develop policies or products, assess the effectiveness of their advertising and communications and measure customer satisfaction. Beaufort is a Company Partner of the Market Research Society, and all our staff belong to the MRS.
This is a maternity cover position running up to 12 months, ending in February 2027 - with the potential to become a permanent role depending on business needs and performance.
As a Senior Research Executive / Research Manager, you’ll be right at the heart of our client work. You’ll take the lead on a variety of qualitative and quantitative projects, guiding them from initial brief all the way through to final delivery. One day you might be designing an online survey or shaping a discussion guide, and the next you could be moderating focus groups, interviewing client stakeholders or drafting findings for clients.
Because we’re a small team, you’ll have the chance to get involved with all aspects of research often working closely with Directors but also with autonomy. Alongside managing projects day-to-day, you’ll draft proposals, support business development, and lend a hand wherever your skills can make a difference.
We’re looking for someone with five or more years’ experience working across qualitative and quantitative methodologies, who enjoys balancing multiple projects and taking real ownership of their work. You’ll be skilled at analysing and interpreting quant and qual data and distilling it into clear insights that help clients make confident, informed decisions. If you’re curious, collaborative and naturally proactive, you’ll fit right in. Welsh language skills are a bonus, but not essential.
Our standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, but we often work flexibly, whether that’s moderating evening focus groups or meeting a tight client deadline.
